Proposition 2 has had a big impact on local restaurants in the Stillwater area.

Adam Jameson, Manager of Brooklyn’s Resturaunt, reported an estimated $1,500 -$2,000 increase in revenues during Sundays for the local eatery.

Payne County approved Proposition 2, allowing restaurants to serve alcohol on Sundays during November 6, 2012 elections.

The change has also brought new business into Stillwater in the less than 1 month since it’s passing, said Jameson.

The new law is expected to increase sales tax collection throughout the local area.
