The number 1 Baylor Lady Bear survived a scare Saturday at Gallagher-Iba Arena against the number 19 Oklahoma State Cowgirls in Stillwater, Okla, winning 81 – 62.

The OSU girls lead in the first period until Baylor went on a run to take the lead. The momentum shift occurred with 4:35 left after Lindsey Keller missed two layups.

This bring the Baylor Lady Bear’s record to 20 – 1 overall and 10 – 0 in the Big Twelve.

OSU falls to a record of 15 – 5 overall and 4 – 5 in the Big Twelve.

The Cowgirls struggled to score consistently late in the first half and all of the second. They also got into foul trouble committing 19 personal fouls throughout the game.

The bright spots in OSU’s evening was Liz Donohoe, who scored 24 points, and Tony Young, who got 8 rebounds.

The Cowgirls also had trouble managing the shot clock. The team had 3 shot clock violations during the game.

The next game for OSU is against TCU on Feb. 5, 2013.

The teams may meet up again in the Big Twelve tournament; Baylor seeded one and the Cowgirls seeded 7.
