Ashley Jones will get her associate degree almost one month before she gets her high school diploma this spring because she took advantage of Career Tech’s Cooperate Alliance program at Central Tech.

Oklahoma students can get college credit for a fraction of the cost.

Cooperative Alliance allows students to get credit for eight dollars a credit hour.

According to Career Tech, Cooperate Alliance allows students to be “two places at one.” The program allows students who qualify to earn college credit while taking classes at their local Career Tech.

“This is truly a spring board to a college career,” said Dr. Linda Hubbard, Tech Prep Coordinator at Central Tech. “This is an opportunity to go away with a high school diploma, a Central Tech certificate and a college transcript.”

Listen to the story below to hear about Jones’ experience doing so much at once.
